POSITION SUMMARY:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for tasks related to the effective opening, execution, and closing of the sales cycle through developing sales strategies. This role involves relationship building, cold calling, product presentation, selling, researching, strategy development, and reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with Inside Sales to ensure account retention, customer support, resource management, and troubleshooting order fulfillment.
- Grow sales profitably to meet yearly goals by consulting with current and emerging industry markets.
- Prospect new accounts, retain existing ones, and increase opportunities within current customer base.
- Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge to align Wurth Industry offerings with customer objectives.
- Build and maintain customer relationships as a trusted advisor to ensure satisfaction and growth.
- Represent the full range of Wurth Industry products.
- Plan and record sales calls regularly and track results.
- Set sales goals, report on progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of activities and interactions using CRM software.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
- Collaborate internally to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless service.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to generate business opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of outside sales experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Proven experience in outside sales or business development.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong rapport-building and client relationship skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and independent worker.
- Ability to travel within the territory.
- Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base pay up to $65K plus commission, company car, and cell phone. Pay depends on factors like education, skills, experience, and certifications. Eligible for annual incentive bonuses based on organizational performance.
