Job summary

NOV in Odessa, TX, seeks a Sales Representative to generate revenue by visiting customer locations and presenting interactive bids. You will maintain contact with existing clients, identify new opportunities, and coordinate with operations and technical teams to ensure accurate information and top-tier service.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 2–4 years in sales/marketing, willingness to travel 50–75%, and a basic mechanical knowledge.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of work or college relating to sales and marketing.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 50-75%.
  • Experience in sales, or mechanical knowledge is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Generate sales revenue to meet or exceed assigned sales projections by giving interactive sales visits to customer locations.
  • Maintain contact with an established customer base; identify and establish new clients.
  • Communicate and strategize with the sales team on all related client issues.
  • Prepare and deliver bids for customers with a follow up report to sales manager.
  • Work in conjunction with operations personnel to ensure above expected customer services are achieved.
  • Work with technical support and customers to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
  • Evaluate market requirements and competitor capabilities.
  • Assist in credit worthiness assessments and collection of all delinquent accounts.
  • Attend functions when necessary to keep in contact with customer.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures

Education & Experience Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Experience in Sales, or Mechanical knowledge is highly preferred
Job Requirements
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills in order to interface with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work with the team
  • Possess computer skills and MS Office experience.
  • Have a current and valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to travel within their assigned region.
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas land drilling operations.
  • Knowledge of NOV products an asset
  • Be on call 24/7.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
