Job summary

JOT Rentals in Midland-Odessa is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to visit customer locations, present rental solutions, and grow accounts in the Permian Basin.

Qualifications

• Strong sales presentations and new business development skills to promote equipment rental solutions.

• Excellent communication, including verbal and written, active listening and explaining technical details.
• Outside sales experience in oilfield services, equipment rental, or industrial products is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn oilfield operations and equipment types; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer locations and job sites to understand equipment needs and present rental solutions.

Role Description

The Outside Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in the Midland-Odessa area. This role involves visiting customer locations and job sites to understand equipment needs, present rental solutions, and grow accounts. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting sales presentations, generating new business opportunities, following up on leads, and providing responsive support to existing customers. The representative will build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, coordinate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure timely delivery, and monitor market activity and competitor offerings. The role also includes preparing quotes, negotiating pricing within guidelines, maintaining accurate records in CRM or sales tools, and participating in safety and product training.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Sales Presentations and New Business Development skills to effectively promote equipment rental solutions and grow market share.
• Candidates should possess Relationship Building and Customer Service skills to establish trust, retain accounts, and provide responsive support in a field-based environment.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to explain technical details to diverse audiences.
• Prior outside sales experience in oilfield services, equipment rental, or industrial products is highly beneficial.
• Working knowledge of oilfield operations and equipment types, or a strong willingness to learn technical product details, is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel locally to customer sites, and comfort working in field conditions are required.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage territory planning, pipeline tracking, and follow-up activities with minimal supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
