Job summary

Flow Control Group, a leader in flow control and related technologies, is expanding its sales team in North America. The role focuses on growing the sales territory, promoting full-line products, and expanding service contracts with strong customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will manage a sales plan, work with service technicians, and leverage CRM tools to close opportunities, while pursuing ongoing education and professional growth within a collaborative, ownership-driven culture.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong ability to plan and manage a sales territory.

  • Skilled in negotiating contracts and handling customer objections.

Responsibilities

  • Familiarize with design and application of contractual lines and accessories.
  • Collaborate with service technicians to maximize effectiveness and grow service contracts.
  • Make direct calls to promote full line products, aftermarket, and service sales.
  • Solicit inquiries, manage negotiations and close opportunities.
  • Conduct equipment surveys and accompany auditors during air audits.
  • Resolve customer technical issues with team support.
  • Engage in ongoing professional education through company programs and industry associations.
  • Maintain CRM (Salesforce) data accuracy to guide strategy and activity.
  • Review territory/accounts to optimize coverage and maximize face-to-face selling time.
  • Identify new product opportunities and drive territory growth with inside sales support.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

PRINCIPAL DUTIES (but are not limited to the following):

  • Familiarization with design and application of all contractual and accessory lines supported by Fluid Flow.
  • Work with service technicians to maximize their effectiveness. Sell service contracts, gain new customers, and capture accounts.
  • Make direct calls in the market area, promoting full line product, aftermarket, and service sales. Grow the business to the point we can hire additional support and service staff.
  • Solicit assigned customers’ inquiries and orders and handle negotiations, adjustments, and complaints. Assistance is available from applications engineering, technical inside sales, as well as dedicated customer service.
  • Set up and perform various equipment surveys, and accompany auditors on air audits we sell.
  • Assist in resolution of customer-initiated technical issues.
  • Continue with professional education, through principal-sponsored schools, membership/participation in industry associations, contact with potential equipment sources, internet/catalog reviews, and self-study.
  • Keep CRM opportunities database (Sales Force) current, and use it as a directional tool for yourself, and a communication tool with others in the organization.
  • Review assigned sales territory/accounts, and organize coverage to result in minimum wasted effort, and maximum face-to-face selling time and profit.
  • Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities; surveying consumer needs and trends The immediate priority: Grow the territory Sales and Margin. We will have the luxury of working with existing inside sales and customer service staff to consult with on present and long-term accounts. Short term actions include: Provide seamless coverage (personal, phone, email) with customers. Latch onto and close opportunities that find their way to us. Develop projects turned up by own and previous sales efforts.
