Shepherd Controls & Associates in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking a driven sales professional to join our team. We distribute industrial automation products and solutions, helping manufacturers solve real-world challenges through automation.

You will develop product knowledge, build relationships with customers, prospect new accounts, and deliver live demonstrations to connect technology with business outcomes. A strong pipeline in Salesforce is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in industrial automation or technical B2B sales preferred.
• Ability to build and manage a sales pipeline.
• Strong presentation and live product demonstration skills.
• Willingness to travel within the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Responsibilities

We help manufacturers and other industrial customers solve real-world challenges through automation, making their operations smarter, faster, and more productive.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Develop and maintain a basic understanding of the product lines we represent, as well as the industrial automation industry as a whole.

Build relationships with new and existing customers to grow your territory.

Prospect and develop new accounts through targeted outreach, leads, and networking.

Provide customers with live product demonstrations.

Collaborate with our internal solutions group and supplier partners to develop solutions using Shepherd's broad automation portfolio.

Present solutions that connect technical capabilities to real business outcomes.

Experience

Any combination of the following is valuable:

• Industrial automation, controls, robotics, or related technical experience.
• Technical B2B or outside sales experience.
• Engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or applications experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
