Job summary

Terminix in Kentucky seeks a proactive residential sales professional to sell pest control solutions and preventive maintenance. You will inspect homes, identify needs, and partner with branches to craft proposals that expand revenue. Travel up to 100% of the time within the territory.

Applicants should have strong customer service and communication skills, prior sales or pest experience, and a valid driver’s license. A CRM is used for plans and follow-ups.

Job description

We sell Residential Pest Management Services to new and existing residential customers, providing protective solutions to homes and families.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect homes for pests, pest harborage, and pest entries, and based on assessment findings sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance for residential customers.
• Collaborate with Customer Service Center, Inside Sales, and Technicians to identify opportunities.
• Partner with Branch Manager to identify revenue streams, develop proposals for customers, and propose additional services.
• Complete home diagrams using Sales CRM to ensure clear understanding of customer homes and potential challenges.
• Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
• Provide expert knowledge during service installations to ensure job satisfaction.
• Maintain daily activities and sales performance data using the company sales CRM.

Essential Job Functions (Physical Demands)

• Move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 11–20 lbs. frequently.
• Move around a lot—sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and ramps.
• Work comfortably in small spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, attics, and confined areas.
• Operate a motor vehicle and keep the vehicle and equipment clean.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator and work in confined spaces when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license from your current state of residence.
• Strong social, customer service, and communication skills; experience or training in sales is highly desirable.
• Prefer at least 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience.
• Travel up to 100 % of the time within assigned territory(s).
