Job summary

Altec is seeking an Outside Sales Associate to support its Southern New England territory, including Worcester, MA, Hartford, CT and Providence, RI. You will build relationships with utility fleets, municipalities, contractors, and equipment owners to secure consignments and provide trusted auction solutions.

Travel extensively, evaluate equipment values, and coordinate with operations to ensure accurate descriptions, photos, titles, and logistics for JJ Kane auctions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 2+ years of outside sales experience.
• Must be willing to travel extensively and hold a valid driver's license.
• Strong communication skills and proven sales performance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with utility fleets, municipalities, contractors, tree care companies, rental companies, and equipment owners throughout the territory.
• Identify and secure consignments for upcoming JJ Kane auctions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by providing customers with expertise on equipment values, market conditions, and auction solutions.
• Partner with operations teams to ensure equipment descriptions, photos, titles, and logistics are auction-ready.
• Represent JJ Kane at auctions, industry events, and customer locations.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience that reflects JJ Kane's commitment to trust, transparency, and industry expertise.

JJ Kane is seeking an Outside Sales Associate to support our Southern New England territory. The selected candidate should reside in or near Worcester, MA, Hartford, CT or Providence, Rhode Island area.

In this role, you will develop relationships with utility companies, contractors, municipalities, fleet operators, and equipment owners to identify equipment consignment opportunities for JJ Kane auctions. You will work directly with customers to deliver a simple, trusted, and results-driven experience from initial contact through auction completion.

What You'll Do:

• Build and maintain relationships with utility fleets, municipalities, contractors, tree care companies, rental companies, and equipment owners throughout the territory.
• Identify and secure consignments for upcoming JJ Kane auctions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by providing customers with expertise on equipment values, market conditions, and auction solutions.
• Partner with operations teams to ensure equipment descriptions, photos, titles, and logistics are auction-ready.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree Required, plus 2+ years of outside sales experience in a technical, industrial, construction, utility, or equipment-related industry. Must be willing to travel extensively, possess a valid driver's license, demonstrate strong communication skills, and have a proven record of sales performance.

Pay range

$80,000 - $90,000 plus an incentive opportunity. We are committed to fair and competitive pay for all associates based on their experience, education, and qualifications.

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
