Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range for this position is a nationwide market range, representing salaries across the country. The actual salary will depend on factors such as role scope, complexity, location, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, and other employment conditions. Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentives as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program.

Salary Range

$46,400.00 - $76,600.00

What Is the Opportunity?

This position covers the San Francisco Bay, CA area, is based 100% remotely, and includes a mix of mobile work and/or work from your primary residence. It is an entry-level position requiring satisfactory completion of training to advance to Claim Professional, Outside Property content. The role involves investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving claims of lesser value and complexity, maintaining compliance with standards and regulations.

What Will You Do?
  • Complete required training, including online, virtual, classroom, and on-the-job components, possibly requiring travel.
  • Handle 1st party property content claims with moderate to high severity and occasional moderate complexity claims.
  • Conduct field inspections, including damage assessment, photographs, and estimates.
  • Investigate and evaluate relevant facts to determine coverage, damages, and liability.
  • Work with vendors and insureds to maximize resources and negotiate settlements.
  • Establish claim and expense reserves accurately.
  • Write denial letters, reservation of rights, and complex correspondence.
  • Manage damages and costs using evaluation tools.
  • Meet quality standards, maintain documentation, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide excellent customer service and recognize claims requiring specialized investigation.
  • Perform administrative functions and support workforce management needs.
  • Mentor less experienced claim professionals.
  • Participate in legal proceedings as needed.
  • Contribute to team training and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in the Catastrophe Response Program, which may involve deployment for at least 16 days.
  • Maintain necessary licenses and certifications, including physical ability to perform inspection duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or GED and one year of customer service experience OR Bachelor’s Degree.
