FirstLight invites you to join as an Outside Plant Engineer in Brunswick, Maine. You will lead engineering planning and design for OSP projects, select routing, determine equipment needs, and create construction prints compliant with standards. This role includes site visits and data collection for pole surveys, GIS, and mappings.

The position demands strong communication, teamwork, and independent work in a fast-paced environment with attention to accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Broad experience designing Outside Plant work plans with understanding of right-of-way, DOT and local permitting.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow complex maps, diagrams and schematics.
• Familiarity with NESC guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Conduct pre-engineering ride outs and data gathering, including site surveys.
• Accurately maintain and input Plant records in the Plant Database.
• Prepare construction prints and assist contractors as required.
• Travel to customer sites to gather OSP project information and determine routing.
