Job summary

Titan Security is hiring two Outside Patrol Security Officers to perform outdoor foot patrols around the Willis Tower in Downtown Chicago. These positions require working outside in all weather and seasons. Outdoor gear will be provided as part of the uniform.

The current schedules are: 1) Wednesday-Sunday 3pm-11pm (40 hours/week) and 2) Mon-Tue 6pm-2am, Wed 3pm-11pm, Sat-Sun 2am-10am (40 hours/week).

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience as door staff or in customer service, hotel or restaurant roles.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Able to obtain Illinois PERC and comply with state training requirements.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Able to perform physical duties (lift 50+ lbs, patrols, stairs) in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all on-duty individuals and guests.
• Maintain accurate logs at front desk regarding people or property, including packages.
• Control access for tenants, visitors, or vendors as required.
• Monitor security cameras and conduct patrols to deter theft and ensure safety.
• Perform outdoor foot patrols and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies and document them for Titan Security management.

Responsibilities

of Outside Security Officers include, but are not limited to:

• Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty, including assisting with directions and general business information
• Maintain clear, accurate administrative logs at front desk pertaining to people or property including packages.
• Control access for tenants, visitors or vendors as required
• Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment
• Conduct foot patrols (could be walking up to 10 miles per day) and stand post outside, observing and reporting suspicious activity
• Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

of Security Officers:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have experience as a door staff professional or in a customer service, hotel or restaurant position
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Able to acquire and maintain a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), including state accredited training requirements
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather
