Job summary

Per Sé Group is seeking an Outside Operator to support a natural-gas-fired, simple-cycle combustion turbine facility in northeastern Kentucky. This temporary contract role requires hands-on plant experience, the ability to conduct rounds independently, and to help maintain safe, reliable generation.

You will monitor turbines, pumps, and associated systems, document readings, and communicate issues to Operations and Maintenance staff while following all safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in power plant operations.
• Hands-on experience with natural-gas-fired combustion turbines.
• Ability to independently conduct plant rounds and monitor operating conditions.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical plant systems, operating procedures, and LOTO requirements.
• Ability to read P&IDs, equipment manuals, and operating documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct plant rounds inspecting Siemens combustion turbines, generators, auxiliary equipment, and balance-of-plant systems.
• Monitor temperatures, pressures, vibration, fluid levels, and other operating parameters to identify abnormal conditions.
• Operate and monitor pumps, compressors, cooling systems, lubrication systems, valves, and associated equipment.
• Assist with combustion turbine startup, shutdown, and equipment restoration activities.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate equipment deficiencies to Operations and Maintenance personnel.
• Support preventive maintenance, equipment isolation, LOTO, and planned or unplanned outage activities.
• Maintain accurate operating logs, equipment readings, and required documentation.
• Follow established safety, environmental, and operating procedures.

Per Sé Group is seeking an experienced Outside Operator to support a natural-gas-fired, simple-cycle combustion turbine generating facility in northeastern Kentucky. This is a short-term opportunity for a hands‑on power plant professional who can step into an operating facility, independently perform plant rounds, identify equipment issues, and help maintain safe, reliable generation.

The Opportunity

Support daily operations at an active power generation facility during a period of ongoing plant operations and outage activity. You’ll work closely with control room and maintenance personnel to monitor equipment, troubleshoot operational concerns, and keep critical generating systems running safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing

What You’ll Bring

• 3–5+ years of experience in power plant operations or a comparable power generation environment.

• Hands‑on experience with natural‑gas‑fired combustion turbines and associated auxiliary equipment.

• Ability to independently conduct plant rounds, monitor operating conditions, and recognize equipment abnormalities.

• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical plant systems, operating procedures, and LOTO requirements.

• Ability to read P&IDs, equipment manuals, and operating documentation.

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and computer skills.

Preferred: Siemens combustion turbine experience, familiarity with Siemens control systems, simple-cycle generation, and previous outage or equipment restoration support.
