Job summary

Per Sé Group is seeking two experienced Combustion Turbine Plant Operators for immediate contract opportunities at a natural-gas-fired facility in northeastern Kentucky. You will monitor turbine performance, troubleshoot equipment, and support both control room and field operations.

Opportunities may involve rotating shifts on a DuPont schedule or day-shift field operations, depending on plant needs and experience. Contract through December 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant power plant operations or combustion turbine experience.
• Hands-on experience operating power generation equipment with Siemens turbine control systems.
• Ability to operate equipment from the control room and/or perform independent field rounds.
• Understanding of combustion turbine operating parameters, alarms, and safety procedures.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor combustion turbines and related plant equipment using Siemens control systems.
• Perform control room duties, monitor parameters, respond to alarms and log operations.
• Conduct plant rounds, inspect equipment, identify abnormal conditions, communicate concerns.
• Support equipment startup/shutdown and standard operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
• Assist with routine maintenance and outages, coordinate contractors.
• Follow plant safety and environmental procedures.

Per Sé Group is seeking two experienced Combustion Turbine Plant Operators for immediate contract opportunities at a natural-gas-fired power generation facility in northeastern Kentucky. We’re looking for hands-on power plant professionals who can step into an operating facility, monitor turbine performance, troubleshoot equipment, and support both control room and field operations.

The Opportunity

Support an active combustion turbine generating facility during a critical period of plant operations and outage activity. Depending on experience and plant needs, assignments may involve rotating shifts on a DuPont schedule or day-shift field operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate and monitor combustion turbines and associated plant equipment using Siemens control systems.




• Perform control room duties, monitor operating parameters, respond to alarms, and maintain accurate operating logs.




• Conduct plant rounds, inspect equipment, identify abnormal conditions, and communicate operational concerns.




• Support equipment startup, shutdown, and safe operating procedures.




• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation/control issues.




• Assist with routine maintenance, outage activities, equipment inspections, and contractor coordination.




• Follow plant safety, environmental, and operating procedures.

What You’ll Bring

• Hands-on experience operating power generation equipment with Siemens turbine control systems.




• At least 3 years of relevant power plant operations or combustion turbine experience.




• Ability to operate equipment from the control room and/or perform independent field rounds.




• Understanding of combustion turbine operating parameters, alarms, equipment troubleshooting, and plant safety procedures.




• Ability to work independently, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate effectively with plant personnel.




• High school diploma or equivalent experience and a valid driver’s license.

Preferred: Simple-cycle combustion turbine experience, control room/board operation, DuPont rotating-shift experience, and mechanical or electrical maintenance capabilities.
