Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (Ingalls Shipbuilding) in Pascagoula, MS, seeks an Outside Machinist to install, align and repair ship machinery on complex naval vessels. You will read blueprints, use precision tools and lay out equipment across decks and bulkheads.

Responsibilities

• Lays out passage holes on bulkheads, decks, and other surfaces for connection such as shafting and steam lines.
• Aligns reduction gears, bearings, shafting, propellers, and rudder and steering engine assemblies.
