Job summary

The Alaska Center Education Fund is seeking an Outreach & Programs Coordinator in Anchorage to support Trailside Discovery Camp’s year‑round programming, community outreach, recruitment, and program readiness. Field work includes events, partnerships, and leadership roles during summer camps.

The role focuses on maintaining curriculum, coordinating supplies, and building strong relationships with families and schools while ensuring safe, high‑quality programming across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth programming, outdoor education, or nonprofit programs.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive camp vehicles.
• Ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Evenings and weekends availability for events and peak season.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver Trailside programming (winter, spring, summer, and partner programs).
• Prepare materials and ensure staff and sites have supplies.
• Maintain curriculum and adapt resources as needed.
• Organize program bins, equipment, and supplies.
• Coordinate purchasing, inventory, and distribution of supplies.
• Support day-to-day program implementation and scheduling.
• Deliver seasonal staff training on programming and outdoor education.
• Support youth programming in the field and ensure safety and quality.
• Assist with recruitment, enrollment, and partner engagement.
• Be prepared to take on site leadership during summer camps.
