Job Summary: The Outreach Program Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and project coordination support for two statewide workforce development initiatives housed within the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute (UWPHI); Wisconsin's Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) Community Health Worker (CHW) workforce initiatives. Working closely with program leadership and operations staff, this position supports the day-to-day implementation of statewide programs that strengthen Wisconsin's public health and community health workforce. Responsibilities include project tracking, meeting and event coordination, documentation management, reporting support, communications, and operational systems that enable successful implementation of CHW workforce, technical assistance, evaluation, and sustainability activities. This position helps ensure that administrative and operational functions are organized, responsive, and aligned with Community Health Worker values, while reducing administrative burdens on program staff, CHWs, contractors, and partner organizations. The position is based at UWPHI within the School of Medicine and Public Health and may require occasional statewide travel.
School of Medicine and Public Health, Population Health Institute – Workforce Development Pathways Unit
The UW Population Health Institute (UWPHI) works to improve the health of all people in Wisconsin and beyond by conducting research and providing technical assistance to policymakers, practitioners, and communities.
The Workforce Development Pathways (WFDP) unit leads statewide Community Health Worker workforce development, including coordination of the Rural Health Transformation Program CHW initiative in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
The starting salary for the position is $50,000 annually; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Bachelor's Degree preferred; focus in public health, community health, social work, business administration, or a related field preferred.
