Job summary

ProMedica is seeking an Outreach Phlebotomist in the Laboratory to perform routine and special blood specimen collection for patients of all ages. You will be a resource for your team and maintain protocols to create a clean, calm and safe environment for patients.

This full-time day shift requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus phlebotomy training or 6 months’ experience. 6 months in a high-volume setting or 100 venipunctures during clinical rotations are also required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Diploma from an accredited phlebotomy training institute OR 6 months phlebotomy experience.
• 6 months' experience in a high-volume phlebotomy environment; or 3+ week clinical student rotation with 100 venipunctures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and special blood specimen collection for patients of all ages.
• Maintain protocols to create a clean, calm and safe environment for patients.
• Support the team as a resource in the Laboratory.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A diploma from an accredited phlebotomy training institute OR 6 months phlebotomy experience.
• 6 months' experience in a high-volume phlebotomy environment; or successful completion of an academic program which included substantial, practical clinical phlebotomy experience (EX: 3+ week clinical student rotation program in a hospital setting or clinical student rotation with 100 successful venipunctures completed)

Preferred Requirements

• Professional registration: PBT(ASCP)
