Park Nicollet Health Services is hiring a Laboratory Assistant, Outreach Phlebotomist to join our team. You will provide specimen collection and phlebotomy services, assist with client service at the reception desk, and support ordering and scheduling tasks to ensure efficient laboratory workflow.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, independent work, and organizational skills while maintaining accuracy in processing and dispatching specimens for testing across hospital and clinic sites.

Formación

• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• ASCP certification for phlebotomy preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; may drive personal car occasionally.

Job Description

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Laboratory Assistant, Outreach Phlebotomist to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary

The Laboratory Assistant will provide a wide range of laboratory services including specimen collection, client service and reception desk duties, ordering/ scheduling/ billing functions, laboratory testing, phlebotomy, dispatching, specimen processing, centrifuging, delivery of specimens to appropriate laboratory/department and assuring proper efficiency and workflow management. Position will also serve as a resource for questions from hospital and clinic staff regarding specimen handling and processing.

Required Qualifications

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification

• Safely and legally operate Park Nicollet vehicles, must have a valid driver's license. May be required to drive personal car on an occasional basis.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Strong customer service skills, ability to work independently, good problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to meet time-sensitive customer requests and changes on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination

• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.

• ASCP certification for phlebotomy preferred.
