Job summary

Required is a high school diploma with 1 year of lab experience; a Medical Assistant program or related credits is preferred, with nationally recognized phlebotomy certification preferred and verification by primary source.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of lab experience, phlebotomy or medical assisting in a physician office.
• National phlebotomy certification (NCA or equivalent) preferred; verification by primary source.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy duties to support outpatient lab services.
• Maintain and adhere to phlebotomy procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Provide orientation and training to outreach office personnel.
• Coordinate courier needs for outreach clients for timely pickup and delivery.
• Call critical values to appropriate patient-care personnel.
• Maintain supplies and a hygienic outreach lab area.
