HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

All LCSNW team members will contribute to our mission of partnering with individuals, families and communities for health,justiceand hope.

This position provides intensive home visiting services and family support to highly stressed families with young children, promoting infant and early childhood mental health, healthy development, and strong parent‑child relationships. As the Outreach Home Visiting Supervisor, this individual carries a home visiting caseload while also providing leadership, supervision, coaching, and support to Outreach Home Visitors. In collaboration with program leadership, the supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Outreach program, including program planning, staffing, training, team development, quality improvement, and service coordination. This position works closely with community partners and internal programs to connect families with resources,facilitateaccess to neededsupport, and strengthen protective factors that help prevent child abuse and neglect.

Fluency in both English and Spanishis required toeffectively serve families and support staff across the program.This position is full-time for37.5 hoursperweekwhich requires the ability to work some evening hours.

• Provide Weekly supervision to all Outreach home visitorsto meetOregon Association of Relief Nursery (OARN)QualityAssurance (QA)standards as well as Relief Nursery program policies and procedures.
• Be available for crisis/immediate debriefing with Home Visitors and provide reflective supervision.
• Assign and manage caseloads; work with home visitors to develop plans to support families
• Maintain written documentation of all supervisor sessionsper Relief Nursery requirements.
• Hire, train, and mentornew home visitors and provide ongoing support with professional development
• Monitor program compliance throughreview of home visit records andQAactivities required by OARN
• Support the AFP Home Visiting Program Managerin overseeing acommunity outreach andfamily engagement plan

Service Delivery

• Conduct outreach and family engagement initiatives to increase community awareness of A Family Place programs, increase family enrollment, and strengthen community partnerships. Including but not limited to:
• Lead staff at Diaper Bank
• Lead staff for community tabling events
• Cultivate and manage positive relationships with internal and external partnerships to increase family referrals for A Family Place services
• Complete and document regular home visits based on a schedule mutually agreed upon by each family and the Home Visitor, in coordination with the supervisor.
• Maintain a caseload of9-16families.
• Utilize the Growing Great Kids/Growing Great Families curriculum to engage families in parent‑child activities,facilitatepositive attachment, and promote infant mental health.
• Assess children’s developmental progress using evidence‑basedmeasures andaccurately document this data.
• Assistfamilies toidentifyand achieve parenting, personal, and child goals
• Provide referrals to necessary communityresources andadvocate for the family’s needs and interests.
• Serve asco‑lead staff in providing regular planned respite for familiesat all AFP Relief Nurserysites.
• Serve as lead staff at Diaper Bank, greeting families, supporting families in accessing needed supplies, and connecting to other community resources.

HOW YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT:

• The ability to read, write, and speak fluently in both English and Spanish isrequired
• Experience in working with or providing services to children and families
• Experience and humility to work with culturally diverse families and colleagues
• Ability to relate to diverse at‑risk children and families with sensitivity and respect,identifyandrecord significant individual and group behaviorsand conduct objective assessments and evaluation, and to learn and apply Therapeutic Principles
• Knowledgeofinfant and child development,adverseand positivechildhood experiences, family systems, trauma‑informed care, mental health issues, and disabilities
• Open to reflective practice (i.e.has capacity for introspection, communicates awareness of self in relation to others, recognizes the value of supervision, etc.)
• Infant Mental Health endorsement preferred
• Knowledge of, and ability to work with social service agencies, schools, and other agenciesregardingreferrals and treatment continuity
• Step 9 or higher in Oregon Registry Onlinerequired(associate’s degree in early childhood education, Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or another related field).
• Four years of experienceproviding services to culturally diverse communities/familiesandhigh‑risk populations with an emphasis on families with children ages 0-5in the area ofhome visiting and/or early childhood classrooms.
• Demonstrated understanding of supervising and motivating staff, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of infant and child development, parent‑child attachment, maternal‑infant health and wellbeing, and dynamics of child abuse and neglect.
• Experience with reflective practice and reflective supervision.
• Ability to obtain current clearance from the Central Background Registry.
• Current First Aid Certification, CPR card, Food Handler’s Card,
• Annual Mandatory Reporter/Child Abuse, and Neglect training within the first 6 months of hire .
• Standard LCSNW criminal clearance, including national sex offender. Motor vehicle records, valid driver’slicenseand auto insurance arerequired.
