As an Outreach Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in our Commercial & Industrial Demand Response Program. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the technical aspects of the program, ensuring that all systems and equipment are functioning correctly. This includes monitoring demand reduction and troubleshooting any issues that arise. The outreach engineer also works closely with customers to provide training and support, helping them understand how to optimize their demand reduction and participate effectively in the demand response program.

As an Outreach Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in our Commercial & Industrial Demand Response Program. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the technical aspects of the program, ensuring that all systems and equipment are functioning correctly. This includes monitoring demand reduction and troubleshooting any issues that arise. The outreach engineer also works closely with customers to provide training and support, helping them understand how to optimize their demand reduction and participate effectively in the demand response program.

While you will work remotely in regard to a Honeywell office, you must be based out of the Greater New Orleans, Louisiana area, due to frequent travel to customer sites within the New Orleans Parish.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the outreach team in identifying viable candidates for the program
  • Establish contact with customers to explain program benefits
    • Demonstrate the financial benefits of participating in the DR program
    • Candidate must be able to explain product features and technical procedures in clear language that is easily understood by all audiences.
  • Overcome customer objections and concerns
  • Responsible for the collection of data, such as utility bills, routine reports, trend reports, and rate schedules required for analysis and reporting of savings results.
  • Prepare demand response reports and presentations for potential and existing customers
    • Review bid/contract packages for quality assurance
  • Interface with local contractor teams to ensure project implementation is executed within the specified timeline and SOW
  • Develop, update, and maintain customer tracking reports

  • Minimum of 1-year experience with determining energy use and cost at the building level for Energy Savings Calculations
  • Minimum of 1-year experience with collecting Building Management System (BMS) or utility data for analysis and reporting of savings results
  • The successful candidate must have a driving record acceptable to Honeywell
  • Knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC, controls, and building controls
  • Ability to commute to various areas in New Orleans area.
