Job summary

Foundation Christian Church in Auburn Hills, MI seeks an Outreach and Development Pastor to advance evangelism and discipleship while developing new ministries. The role is full-time or part-time with flexible scheduling and compensation funded through Reliant plus a housing stipend.

The pastor will collaborate with the lead pastor and eldership, recruit teams, and establish outreach partnerships with local nonprofits to serve the community. Experience in a relevant field is required.

Qualifications

• The applicant should be a godly person committed to growing in Christ and aligned with eldership qualifications from 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
• Demonstrates humility, servant leadership, and a passion for evangelism and discipleship.
• Active involvement in the Great Commission through evangelism and disciple-making.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and develop outreach strategies to engage the community with the gospel.
• Foster relationships with nonprofits and organizations in the Auburn Hills area to create opportunities to serve.
• Meet biweekly with 5 individuals for discipleship or evangelism.
• Provide training to equip the congregation to engage in outreach and evangelism.
• Identify underprivileged and needy populations for FCC to serve.
• Teach spiritual development classes for the church.
• Provide exegetical preaching to assist the lead pastor on Sunday mornings (frequency to be determined).
• Assist lead pastor in development of sermon series.
• Meet weekly with the lead pastor to discuss progress and plan for future events.
• Recruit, train, and launch teams to lead new ministry initiatives.
• Partner with Reliant to raise personal financial support for salary.
