Job summary

Live4Lali, Inc. seeks an Outreach Coordinator for North Cook County, based in Arlington Heights, to implement prevention strategies and engage community members. The role involves coordinating trainings, distributing harm-reduction supplies, and collaborating with local providers across Cook County.

You will log data, train on overdose response, and educate the public on naloxone and harm-reduction practices while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and working up to 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant work or lived experience in substance use disorder, mental health, public health, or social work.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• CPR and first aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify areas of greatest need across Cook County to connect with participants and distribute harm reduction supplies.
• Provide peer support to participants.
• Assist with stocking, maintaining, and delivering harm reduction inventory.
• Log and report data collected during outreach.
• Provide training in harm reduction and overdose response and distribute naloxone countywide.
• Collaborate with rehabs, shelters, and facilities to scale up naloxone access.
• Develop and implement community substance-misuse prevention programs.
• Educate impacted persons and the public on substance use and harm reduction.
