Job summary

Live4Lali, Inc. is seeking a full‑time Winnebago/Boone County Outreach Coordinator based in Rockford, IL. You will work in the field to educate on harm reduction, naloxone, and overdose prevention, building trust with people who use substances and referring them to needed resources.

Ideal candidates bring lived experience with recovery and strong interpersonal skills. The role requires travel across counties, scheduling flexibility, and a commitment to anti-stigma efforts in the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ relevant work or lived experience in substance use disorder, mental health, public health, or social work.
• Preferably a person with at least 2 years in recovery/remission from substance use disorder.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify areas of greatest need across Winnebago/Boone Counties to connect with participants and distribute harm reduction supplies.
• Provide peer-based support through rapport building, recovery coaching, and referrals.
• Assist with stocking, maintaining, and delivering harm reduction inventory.
• Log and report data collected during outreach accurately.
• Provide training on harm reduction, overdose response, and naloxone distribution.
