Job summary

Light of Life Rescue Mission, based in Pittsburgh, seeks a full-time Outreach Specialist to work from the Northside building. The role blends outreach and direct care, supporting the homeless at the Day Center and in encampments, while coordinating with Shelter Managers, Case Workers, and community partners.

The position requires developing service plans, training volunteers, and collecting data for program decisions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in social work or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of counseling/case management experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Experience in human services helpful.

Responsibilities

• Establishes service plans and manages cases for transient homeless in the Day Center.
• Trains volunteers for Outreach activities.
• Collaborates with LOL staff and partner agencies to address homeless issues.
• Gathers data for county HMIS and internal data systems.
• Transports guests to facilities or partner agencies.
• Performs other direct care duties as needed.
