VCU Health seeks an Athletic Trainer Outreach to provide day-to-day athletic training services for a local sports team. The role assesses, treats, and develops rehabilitation strategies, and designs prevention and education programs.

You will attend home and away games as agreed with coaches and athletic directors, perform treatments per physician guidance, and maintain NATA/CPR certifications. Some events may include pre-season physicals and long shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Virginia as an Athletic Trainer or eligible.
• NATA BOC Certification is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Two years athletic training experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree CAATE-accredited in athletic training.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day athletic training services for a local sports team.
• Assess, treat and develop rehab and reconditioning strategies for athletes.
• Design and implement prevention and education programs.
• Attend all home and away games as agreed with head coaches/athletic directors.
• Maintain NATA and CPR certification in accordance with certifying bodies.
• Cover pre-season physicals, games or matches, and related events under supervision.
