Job summary

New Kent Public Schools seeks an Outreach Athletic Trainer to deliver day-to-day athletic training services for a local sports team. You will assess and treat injuries, design rehabilitation plans, and implement prevention and education programs.

The role requires VA licensure or eligibility, NATA-BOC certification, and current CPR. Occasional night shifts and traveling to games may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in athletic training from an accredited program.
• Licensed in Virginia as an athletic trainer or eligible.
• Current CPR certification and NATA BOC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention, assessment, treatment, and reconditioning for athletes.
• Perform taping, bracing, and equipment fitting.
• Administer prescribed treatments and follow physician recommendations.
• Maintain NATA and CPR certifications.
• Cover pre-season physicals and games as assigned.
• Communicate clearly with coaches and medical staff.
