Job summary

Radiant Health in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Outreach Advocate to support survivors of sexual violence and intimate partner violence. You will apply active listening, empathetic response and crisis management to help individuals access healing resources.

You will build and maintain community partnerships to expand capacity, coordinate referrals to social services, and advocate for survivor needs in person, in community settings, and across local networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field required.
• Experience with individuals and families affected by domestic/sexual violence or stalking preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and advocacy within support systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to individuals and families who have experienced violence through active listening and empathetic response.
• Offer crisis management and connect clients with community referrals and resources.
• Establish and maintain community partnerships to build resilience and capacity to support survivors.

Job description

The outreach advocate is responsible for providing individuals and families who have experienced sexual violence and/or intimate partner violence, support in healing, through active listening, empathetic response, crisis management, creative problem solving and connecting them with community referrals and resources to meet their needs.
