Job summary

HCA HealthONE Aurora is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. You will collaborate with the care team, follow nursing models, advocate for patients, and contribute to excellent clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing patients on admission and shifts, administering meds, documenting care, educating patients and families, and promptly addressing requests. Outpatient clinic Mon-Thu, with no Fridays or weekends.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN.
• Entry into WOC Nurse Education program or Board Certification by WOCN Society, preferred within 6 months of employment
• Minimum of two years acute care; WOC Nurse experience strongly preferred
• Hyperbaric (HBO) training or experience strongly preferred. If not acquired, training will be required in orientation

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient’s medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
• Oupatient clinic setting Monday-Thursday, no Friday or weekends.
