Job summary

Tufts Medicine Lowell General Hospital and LGH Cancer Care Associates are seeking a full-time Outpatient Urology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team at the Cancer Center on Lowell General Hospital’s Main Campus. You’ll provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in an ambulatory urology practice, collaborating with urologists and APCs to optimize outcomes.

The role offers a weekday schedule (Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Massachusetts licensure.
• Urology experience preferred; related specialty acceptable.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A team player with collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient assessment, evaluation, and management of urologic patients.
• Conduce patient histories, physicals, and clinical assessments to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Evaluate and manage established patients, including routine follow-ups and symptom assessment.
• Collaborate with urologists and care team to develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans.
• Assess and manage common urologic concerns and coordinate follow-up care.
• Monitor patient progress, review diagnostics, and coordinate follow-up plans.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and procedures.
• Coordinate care with other specialties to promote continuity and timely access.
• Support efficient practice operations by optimizing physician availability for new patients.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the EHR.
• Participate in team initiatives that promote clinical excellence and patient safety.
