Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking a Therapeutic Technician (Outpatient Therapy Services), Full-Time, to support patient care across rehabilitation and aquatic therapy settings.

You will organize, prepare and assist in delivering therapeutic services, maintain treatment areas, and support licensed therapists, with responsibilities ranging from equipment maintenance to patient check-in and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience required.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
• Certified Pool Operator required but not upon hire.
• Lifeguard certification required but not upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Organize, prepare and assist in the delivery of patient care services for the Therapeutic and Rehabilitative Services program area.
• Maintain therapeutic treatment and patient care areas within safety and infection control guidelines.
• Assist therapist/nursing personnel and perform pre-planned patient care activities including monitoring exercise and aquatic therapy.
• Transport patients to and from therapy appointments and support during Therapeutic Community Visits as directed.
• Attend program meetings, complete in-service trainings and ensure equipment and supplies are stocked and maintained.
