Outpatient Therapist - Trauma (Morehead, KY)

Salary:

  • Associate Level License: $55,000 - $61,875 (LPA, LPCA, CSW, AMFT, LDADC)
  • Independent Level License: $65,000 - $73,125 (LPP, LPCC, LCSW, LMFT)

Educational Requirements:

  • Must hold either an independent practice license or be under board-approved supervision for alcohol and drug counseling or mental health counseling.
  • Must embody and practice qualities consistent with established standards in the field.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess and counsel individuals affected by:
    • Rape and sexual abuse/assault
    • Domestic violence and intimate partner violence
    • Human trafficking
    • Childhood abuse
  • Provide both individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Present community education materials to victims and the wider community.
  • Make referrals to other helping agencies as needed.
  • Coordinate relationships with other human services agencies.
  • Serve as a consultant for courts, law enforcement, and the public.
  • Continuously assess the needs of victims and their families, integrating findings into staffing, evaluations, treatment plans, and documentation.
  • Produce timely reports for charts, billing, and time in accordance with center policy.
  • Establish non-threatening communication with victims and their families.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members and contribute innovative ideas to enhance program operations.
  • Maintain composure during crises and respond appropriately.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate client care.
  • Awareness of current treatment modalities and available community resources.
  • Completion of 40 hours of mandated training in rape and sexual assault.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in the helping profession, specifically in the treatment of human abuse.
  • Proven ability to perform the duties outlined effectively.

This role is critical in providing support to individuals facing traumatic experiences and requires a compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled professional to make a meaningful impact.
