Job summary

Compass Intervention Center, a part of Universal Health Services, Inc., is seeking a full-time Outpatient Therapist to join our behavioral health team in Memphis. The Therapist provides clinical social work services, conducts psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy.

You will support treatment planning, discharge planning, crisis intervention and liaise with referral sources; licensure as Social Worker or Professional Counselor is preferred. Master’s degree required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Social Services related field required.
• Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an outpatient setting.
• Social Work or Professional Counselor License, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist preferred. Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical social work services in line with Compass philosophy.
• Ensure client safety, supervise clients, teach coping tools.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments, individual/group/family therapy.
• Participate in treatment planning, discharge planning/case management.
• Crisis intervention and liaison with referral sources.
