We are currently hiring Outpatient Therapists to join our outpatient program in Reading. Our services in Reading include:

  • Outpatient Therapy
  • School-Based Outpatient Therapy
  • Psychiatric Services

Position Summary: The Outpatient Therapist (OPT) provides individual, family, and/or group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. The OPT assists individuals in promoting independence to manage mental health needs and/or behavior problems. This position can be full-time or part-time depending on the applicant's availability, with a possibility of hybrid work at the discretion of the program director. Free supervision for license-eligible candidates is available for full-time employees.

Essential Position Functions:

  • Provide therapy (individual, family, or group) to clients regularly
  • Complete all paperwork within policy timeframes
  • Attend all staff meetings
  • Make referrals to community resources
  • Transfer skills to clients to promote independence
  • Comply with all regulations and training requirements
  • Participate in supervision within policy timeframes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be client-focused, team-oriented, dependable, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Problem-solving and organizational skills are essential. Must focus on compliance and performance quality. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Education and Experience:

  • A licensed mental health clinician (psychiatrist, psychologist, counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, or social worker) with a graduate degree requiring a clinical practicum, or Master's level candidate with a related degree and practicum, or Bachelor's level candidate with a related degree.
  • Experience in individual and family therapy
  • Knowledge of mental health systems and community resources
  • Ability to intervene and control agitated clients through non-physical interventions; hazards include exposure to disease and risk of injury.
