Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARYCLUES’ Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), Abriendo Caminos, will be providing immediate access to supportive, high-quality, culturally responsive and integrated Behavioral Health services and pathways to wellness for Latine Communities, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. The CCBHC model provides CLUES with a model for sustainable Behavioral Health service provision, which translates to increased access to consistent care for wellness in Latine communities.CLUES’ Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (Outpatient Therapist) position provides direct mental health therapy and supportive mental health-related services to Spanish and English-speaking clients in an office setting, and possibly also in other settings such as schools and via telehealth, through a culturally and linguistically appropriate, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach.Department: Behavioral HealthReports to: Sr. Manager of Outpatient Mental Health Services & Outpatient Mental Health SupervisorLocation: CLUES St. Paul, MN OfficePosition Type: Regular, ExemptSchedule: Full-time. Generally, Monday - Friday; Office Hours.Estimated Pay: $68,000.00/yr to $85,500.00/yr (DOQ).Benefits: Full benefits package available in accordance with current CLUES policies—includes: medical, dental, vision, critical illness, accident, and life insurance (with AD&D); long term and short-term disability; pre-paid legal services and ID theft protection; retirement plan; educational assistance; paid holidays; and paid time off.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDirect Mental Health Therapy Services and Program DevelopmentProvide culturally responsive mental health therapy services to families, individuals, couples, and groups in English and Spanish in a variety of settings, including in-office, in schools, and via telehealth.Consult with other staff and interns within Behavioral Health and other departments on mental health related topics. Attend and participate in clinical case consultation meetings and other client staff meetings.Cultivate working relationships with potential service collaborators, partners, and other appropriate stakeholders.Provide consultations and presentations to individuals and/or groups in the community, other professionals and organizations.Conduct immigration-related assessments and produce accompanying documentation to support the immigration applications of CLUES clients.Cultivate working relationships with CLUES staff within and across departments, to support one another’s work, facilitate client referrals, and improve client flow throughout the agency.Participate in care coordination with other providers who may be supporting clients in different capacities.Contract and Program ComplianceEnsure goals for weekly billable client contact are met.Maintain up-to-date clinical documentation per department standards and all requirements. Ensure client data is up to date to facilitate timely processing of service lines for billing purposes.Adhere to contract expectations related to the provision of mental health therapy and related activities.Respond to all internal & external data collection & reporting requests.Participate in all internal and external activities required as stated in program contracts.Assist in the delivery of contracts outcomes and relationships with contractor stakeholders.GeneralMaintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, agency policies and other applicable laws, regulations and ethical standards.Demonstrate clear, proactive, and effective communication in all verbal and written interactions, including client engagement, documentation, team collaboration, and stakeholder correspondence.Contribute to the collaboration of the Behavioral Health department with other programs within CLUES to achieve service integration.Participate in weekly supervision meetings, biweekly team/group meetings for Behavioral Health, “All Staff” meetings as scheduled, and other meetings as assigned.Follow the code of ethics of the applicant’s professional board.Carry out all other duties as assigned by supervisor.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducation, Experience & Key AbilitiesMaster’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited university required.Licensed as a social worker (LGSW or LICSW) or working toward clinical licensure as a marriage and family therapist (LAMFT/LMFT), professional counselor (LPC/LPCC), or psychologist (LP) in the State of Minnesota required. With clinical licensure, must be eligible to be credentialed with all major insurance companies.Must have a deep understanding of Latine cultures, values, and traditions, and demonstrate cultural responsiveness in every aspect of the role, including communication with colleagues, staff, clients, community members; creating forms and documents; hiring and training staff; and in clinical supervision and consultation.Language SkillsEffective communication in Spanish and English, both verbally and in writing, required.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written materials, including reports, contracts, and proposals.Ability to effectively present ideas and information in an organized and effective manner, including writing reports.Ability to maintain accurate documentation and respond appropriately to questions from clients, co-workers, management and external parties.Computer SkillsProficient working knowledge of email software, the Internet, databases, and common Windows-based programs, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.Must be willing to attend training to advance technical skills and maintain appropriate skill levels to perform job duties.WORKING CONDITIONSBackground checkMust pass a criminal background check and MS-604.20 background check.
