Job summary

Northern Pines Mental Health Center in Minnesota is seeking a Mental Health Professional or Clinical Trainee to join our Outpatient Team, with travel to other outpatient offices in Central Minnesota as needed.

You will provide individual, group, family and crisis therapies; conduct intakes and evaluations; develop treatment plans; coordinate with schools, social services and medical partners; and maintain required records while supporting licensure supervision.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences (clinical psychology, counseling, social work, or related field).
• Valid license in behavioral health without restrictions (e.g. LICSW, LPCC, LP, LMFT, NP) in MN; supervision available; license-seeking trainees encouraged.
• Experience with adults and children with mental illness.
• Ability to provide empirically supported psychotherapy for a range of clinical/behavioral needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and co-facilitate individual, group, family, and crisis therapies.
• Provide intake, diagnostic evaluations, and updates to evaluations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans; complete crisis plans.
• Complete third-party billing tasks and coordinate with billing office as necessary.
• Collaborate with schools, social services, courts, medical agencies, mental health providers, managed care organizations and the community.
• Participate in the referral process and maintain written records per policy.
• Provide crisis intervention services as requested.
• Travel to other outpatient offices in Central Minnesota as needed.

Essential Functions Include

• Facilitate and co-facilitate individual, group, family, and crisis therapies
• Competencies and ability to provide empirically-supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral issues
• Provide intakes, diagnostic evaluations, and updates to evaluations
• Develop and implement a treatment plan
• Complete a Behavior Intervention/Crisis Plan
• Complete third party billing requirements such as obtaining prior authorizations and communicating with the billing office as necessary
• Collaborate regularly with both staff and community partners including: schools, social services, court services, medical agencies, mental health providers, managed care organizations and the community at large
• Participate in the referral process
• Maintain necessary written records in accordance with NPMHC policies and procedures and other applicable regulations
• Provide crisis intervention services as requested

Qualifications Include

• Master’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences field (i.e. Clinical Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work)
• A valid license in behavioral health without restrictions ( e.g. LICSW, LPCC, LP, LMFT, NP) in the State of MN. Clinical Supervision is available; License-seeking trainees encouraged to apply!
• Experience with adults and children struggling with mental illness
• Competencies and ability to provide empirically supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral needs
• Excellent written (computer based) and verbal skills
• Valid Driver’s License

Compensation & Benefits Include

• Wage Range: $62,000 - $77,000 annually
