Job summary

Northern Pines Mental Health Center is seeking a Mental Health Professional or Clinical Trainee to join our Outpatient Team. This role involves traveling to other outpatient offices in Central Minnesota to serve clients and deliver a range of therapies.

Essential duties include conducting intakes and evaluations, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with schools, social services, and medical partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences field as listed in qualifications.
• Licensure in MN with no restrictions; license-seeking trainees encouraged to apply.
• Experience treating adults and children with mental illness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and co-facilitate individual, group, family, and crisis therapies.
• Provide intakes, diagnostic evaluations, and updates to evaluations.
• Develop and implement a treatment plan.
• Complete a Behavior Intervention/Crisis Plan.
• Complete third party billing requirements and communicate with billing.

Essential Functions Include

• Facilitate and co-facilitate individual, group, family, and crisis therapies
• Competencies and ability to provide empirically-supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral issues
• Provide intakes, diagnostic evaluations, and updates to evaluations
• Develop and implement a treatment plan
• Complete a Behavior Intervention/Crisis Plan
• Complete third party billing requirements such as obtaining prior authorizations and communicating with the billing office as necessary
• Collaborate regularly with both staff and community partners including: schools, social services, court services, medical agencies, mental health providers, managed care organizations and the community at large
• Participate in the referral process
• Maintain necessary written records in accordance with NPMHC policies and procedures and other applicable regulations
• Provide crisis intervention services as requested

Qualifications Include

• Master’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences field (i.e. Clinical Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work)
• A valid license in behavioral health without restrictions ( e.g. LICSW, LPCC, LP, LMFT, NP) in the State of MN. Clinical Supervision is available; License-seeking trainees encouraged to apply!
• Experience with adults and children struggling with mental illness
• Competencies and ability to provide empirically supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral needs
• Excellent written (computer based) and verbal skills
• Valid Driver’s License

Compensation & Benefits Include

• Wage Range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually
