Job summary

Here's Help Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Outpatient Therapist to join our team in Florida. This is a full-time position.

The Outpatient Therapist will provide quality care and professional treatment, counseling, and skills training to our clients in an outpatient substance abuse treatment setting. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree and Florida LMHC/LCSW/LMFT licensure (or is a registered intern).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of substance use disorders, trauma-informed care, and recovery-oriented treatment.
• Ability to complete biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations.

Job Summary

Here's Help Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Outpatient Therapist to join our team. This is a full -time position. The Outpatient Therapist will provide quality care and professional treatment, counseling, and skills training to our clients in an outpatient substance abuse treatment setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices to assist clients in overcoming dependencies and making positive life changes.
• Complete and maintain accurate client records and reports, documenting client histories, progress, and services provided.
• Coordinate counseling efforts with mental health and other healthcare professionals.
• Develop and modify individualized treatment plans based on client assessments and histories, ensuring compliance with client status changes and measurable goals.
• Assess clients' degree of drug dependency through the collection and analysis of urine drug screen results.
• Attend training sessions to enhance professional knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Knowledge of applicable federal and Florida regulations, including confidentiality requirements (HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2). Ability to complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely manner. Strong clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and case management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish therapeutic rapport with person's served from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Education and/or Experience

Education

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
• Current Florida licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) preferred.
• Registered Interns working toward licensure may be considered, as permitted by state regulations.

Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing counseling services in a behavioral health, mental health, or substance use disorder treatment setting preferred.
• Experience with outpatient substance abuse treatment, co-occurring disorders, and crisis intervention is highly desirable.
• Experience facilitating individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
