Job summary

Chimes is seeking an Outpatient Therapist in Allentown, PA, to provide diagnostic assessments and individual, family, and group psychotherapy. The role covers a diverse client population with flexible scheduling, Monday–Friday.

The position is part of Mental Health Outpatient services, with a billable pay rate starting at $30+/hour. Requires Master’s degree in a clinical field and PA licensure where applicable.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a clinical discipline; e.g., psychology or social work.
• Completed clinical practicum or internship as part of training.
• Licensure such as LPC, LCSW or LMFT is preferred.
• Clearances required by PA: Act 33 & 34, FBI; not on Medicaid/Medicare exclusion list.
• Employer may substitute additional related education/experience per policy.

• Meet clinical service delivery goals per agency policy
• Report to supervisor and administrative staff timely
• Assume other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Maintain licensure/certification in designated states

Job Description

In this role, the Outpatient Therapist will provide diagnostic assessments and individual, family, and group psychotherapy to our clients. Holcomb serves a diverse population, covering the entire age and diagnostic spectrum

Job Functions

• Conduct formal clinical assessments of newly admitted clients
• Develop and oversee the implementation of treatment plans
• Provide crisis assessment and stabilization services, as clinically necessary
• Utilize education and knowledge of mental illnesses and disabilities, symptoms, treatments, and social implications to provide therapy to individuals and families
• Conduct individual, family, or group therapy, as clinically indicated, including maintaining a clinically appropriate balance between treatment modalities
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, including but not limited to progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries
• Provide the full provision of clinically indicated services and the supporting documentation based on established best practices of care and in full compliance with licensure standards
• Maintain strong working relationships with other local providers, client advocacy groups, and client support systems
• Implement clinical service delivery goals consistent with overall agency goals and policy/procedures
• Report to direct supervisor, and other administrative staff as required, in a timely and comprehensive manner
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor
• Maintain personal compliance with all training requirements and personnel documentation standards
• Maintain professional licensure and/or certification in the designated state(s) of service

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education

Master’s degree in a clinical discipline (i.e., clinical or counseling psychology, clinical social work) for mental health therapists

Experience

Clinical Practicum must be completed

Licensure/Certification

License Preferred - LPC, LCSW or LMFT

Required Clearances

Pennsylvania Act 33 & 34 clearance, FBI clearance, Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
