Job summary

Summit Surgical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, advanced practice providers and the clinical team. The role blends administrative and clinical tasks including patient intake, documentation, procedure prep and post-operative care coordination.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, MA program graduation, 1 year clinical experience preferred, and CPR/BLS certification. EHR proficiency (eClinical Works preferred) is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred, surgical/outpatient setting.
• IV insertions preferred when possible.
• Strong medical terminology and clinical workflow knowledge.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proficiency with EHRs; eClinical Works experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs and EHR data.
• Maintain clean, organized exam and treatment rooms.
• Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, AAAHC and regulatory standards.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
• Collaborate with nursing, administrative and surgical teams for patient flow.
