Qualifications

• RN license required or eligibility in the state of Texas
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of employment start

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients pre-operatively
• Educate patients and families about procedures and peri-operative care
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and site verification
• Participate in surgical site verification per hospital policy
• Respond to patient emergencies with safe nursing care
• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care and contribute to continuous improvement
• Collaborate with providers, surgeons, and operating room team
• Document patient condition changes accurately during shifts
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up
