Job summary

Charlotte Behavioral Health Care in Punta Gorda, FL is seeking a part-time Substance Use Screening Specialist to perform observed urine drug screenings, coordinate lab services, and assist with daily clinic operations. The role works with individuals receiving mental health and substance use services in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in behavioral health, substance use, or medical treatment setting preferred.
• Pass Level II Background clearance and pre-employment drug screening.
• Maintain ethical, professional conduct and appropriate boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Conduct observed urine drug screenings and document results in the EMR.
• Coordinate laboratory testing and communicate with on-site pharmacy as needed.
• Distribute Narcan and educate on its use.
• Support nursing and medication services with patient information and daily clinic operations.
• Provide respectful, confidential, and compassionate service in an outpatient setting.
