Job summary

Montefiore Health System in Bronx, New York is seeking a Manager, Chemical Dependency Program to lead the outpatient substance use treatment program and oversee clinical and administrative operations.

You will supervise a diverse team of counselors, social workers and peer advocates, ensuring regulatory standards are met and that services are accurately documented. The role requires coordination with psychiatry, psychology and other staff to maintain high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related field.
• Qualified Health Professional (QHP) with license (LMSW/LCSW, LMHC, or clinical psychology).
• Three years of experience in assessment and treatment of substance use disorders.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (OASAS, Joint Commission, DOHMH).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities of the program, ensure clinical and administrative standards are met.
• Liaise with OASAS, NYC DOHMH, HRA and other agencies as needed.
• Supervise staff and provide clinical trainings and supervision.
• Coordinate intake and referral processes for timely scheduling and engagement.
• Develop and oversee clinical offerings to maintain high-quality services.
• Evaluate supervised staff and conduct performance reviews.
