Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Via Christi team in Manhattan, Kansas. The role is part-time with a day schedule, focusing on evaluating and treating patients with speech-language needs.

Licensed SLP requirements include Kansas licensure and BLS within 1 month of hire. You will educate families, maintain records, and assist with discharge planning while pursuing ongoing professional development supported by Ascension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) for Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active licensure in Kansas as Speech-Language Pathologist or eligible.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.
• Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient.
• Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services and provide information regarding support programs.
