Qualifications

• LMSW or higher licensure required, LCSW preferred
• Three or more years hospital social work or protective services experience preferred
• Experience in psychosocial and therapeutic counseling preferred
• Working knowledge of case management, payors and reimbursement
• Excellent written and verbal communication; professional maturity
• Basic understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care regulations
• Ability to manage priorities and work within timeframes
• Self-motivation with minimal supervision
• Creativity and flexibility under stress
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all information
• Familiarity with community resources

Responsibilities

• Intervene with patients who have complex psychosocial needs
