The Alaska Department of Law is seeking a detail-oriented Coding Specialist to accurately code Outpatient Surgery and Observation records using ICD10CM and CPT4 systems. This position requires at least 3 years of experience in same day surgery coding and the ability to ensure compliance with coding regulations. Candidates with CCS or RHIT certification are preferred.
Description:
Accurately code Outpatient Surgery and Observation records for the classification of all diseases, injuries, procedures, and operations using the ICD10CM and CPT4 coding system for BHSF facilities. Ensures compliance with coding rules and regulations according to Regulatory Agencies (CMS, OIG). Works as part of a team to meet departmental and AR goals. Abstracts prescribed data elements from medical records. Estimated pay range for this position is $26.50 - $34.45 / hour depending on experience.
