Job summary

Lifepoint Health in Winchester, TN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Outpatient Services to deliver preoperative and postoperative care across surgical, endoscopy, infusion, and cath lab settings.

This full-time role requires an Active Tennessee license, an associate degree, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment focused on patient advocacy and safety.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee license (single-state or compact).
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
• Certifications: BLS within 30 days of hire, ACLS within 6 months of hire, PALS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides preoperative and postoperative nursing care for surgical, endoscopy, infusion, and cath lab patients.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to providers and care team members.
• Provides patient and family education, discharge instructions and emotional support.
• Functions as a circulating nurse in Endoscopy.
• Functions competently in PACU/Recovery and provides recovery care as needed.
• Collaborates with physicians, anesthesia providers, nurses, and support staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely.
• Supports quality, safety, patient satisfaction, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Supports departmental quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
