Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Job in Eureka, California

Key Details

• Location: Eureka, CA 95501 (Northern California)
• Facility Setting: Outpatient Clinic – Caregiver Health Services
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/5/2026)
• Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts/week (Mon–Fri, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; flexible hours during flu season: 6 am – 7 pm)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,790–$1,920

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in an outpatient or clinical setting
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to float between St. Joseph Eureka and Redwood Memorial (twice monthly)
• Willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
• Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, immunizations, health screenings, fit testing, communicable disease exposure evaluation, and occupational health procedures

RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in an outpatient caregiver health clinic
• Perform health screenings, fit testing, immunizations, and injury/illness prevention evaluations
• Manage communicable disease exposure assessments and employee health evaluations
• Handle medication refills, patient education, telephone triage, and follow-up calls
• Interpret lab results and coordinate patient referrals as needed
• Float between assigned healthcare facilities as required
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including pharmacy and interpretation services
