Job summary

Washington Hospital in Fremont, CA is seeking a Rehab Aide to support therapists with patient care, including preparing patients for treatment and assisting with safe practice activities as directed by the therapists.

The role will involve various outpatient rehab duties across disciplines and requires a minimum AA degree, BLS certification, and about 2 years of rehab patient care experience; PM shifts are included due to department needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum AA degree from a junior college.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.
• 2 years of patient care experience in Rehab setting; 1-5 years in acute care desired.
• Outpatient rehab clinic administrative experience including phone calls and scheduling.
• Experience with rehabilitation populations: Neuro, Orthopedic, Trauma, Critical Care, Lymphedema.
• Ability to analyze changing situations, communicate clearly, and accept feedback.

Responsibilities

• Assist Therapists with patient care and prepare patients for treatment.
• Assist patients in safe practice activities as directed by therapists.
• Perform other related Rehab Therapy duties in all disciplines.
• Work hours will include PM shifts due to department demands.
