Job summary

UC Health, West Chester Hospital, is seeking a Rehabilitation Aide for first shift in Outpatient Therapy. The role provides non-skilled patient care support under licensed therapists, maintains cleanliness of equipment and assists with clerical duties as needed.

The position requires a High School diploma, CPR certification, and strong customer-service and interpersonal skills to support patients and families in a fast-paced outpatient setting at West Chester Hospital in Ohio.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Certified in CPR required.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Involves family/guardian in assessment, initial treatment and continuing care of the patient.
• Cleans all equipment used daily during patient care, including weights, balls, modalities and carts, assistive devices, nautilus machines and cardiovascular equipment.
• Performs general patient treatment and assistance as directed by the licensed therapist, including stretching and strengthening exercises, wheelchair follow, gait, transfers and fabrication of adaptive equipment.
• Assists with maintaining adequate inventory of supplies.
• Refills ultrasound gel bottles in treatment areas for easy access during patient care.
• Follows direction of licensed therapist and reports patient response to treatment and questions to therapist for follow up.
