Inova Juniper Program is seeking an Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time day shift (Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:00pm) in Fairfax, VA. The role emphasizes holistic outpatient care, vaccinations, medication reconciliation, and patient education within a physician practice setting.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (or ADN with plan to complete BSN within 5 years), Virginia RN licensure, and BLS certification. Prior ambulatory medicine experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Education prerequisites include a BSN from an accredited school; ADN acceptable if BSN completed within 5 years.
• RN licensure in Virginia or eligibility to practice in the Commonwealth.
• BSN required within 5 years if starting with ADN.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential clinic duties including full intakes, reconciliation of medications, and vaccinations.
• Provides safe, holistic care in an outpatient physician practice setting.
• Uses knowledge and experience to meet patient and family education needs and outcomes.
• Consults with the team to ensure productivity and high-quality patient care.
• Makes independent clinical decisions based on education and experience.

Inova Juniper Program is looking for a dedicated Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team. This role will be full time day shift from Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.

Performs essential duties necessary to clinic or non-acute operations to include:

Reconciliation of Medications

Vaccinations/Injections/Phlebotomy

Provides safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way in a physician practice or other outpatient setting. Incorporates differences into the provision of care while integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families to include patient and family education. Achieves desired patient outcomes by using an integrated approach.

Incorporates data and information to improve care and enhances outcomes while ensuring improvements in practice settings. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor.

Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care. Determines immediate priorities and offers solutions for problems. Works with the team to achieve maximum productivity.

Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.

Experience: 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience.

Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years of experience as a RN in ambulatory medicine
